On March 12, 13 and 14, 2026 the Friends will host their Spring meetings of the FIDO and Software Committee, Projects Committee and the General Board of Directors meeting. All members are welcome to attend. The meetings and banquet will be held at the Sheraton Albuquerque Airport Hotel, with convenient airport access as well as from I-25 Gibson exit.
If you wish to stay at the Sheraton, please call the Sheraton at 505-843-7000 and state that you are with the Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec group. There are several other hotels close by.
The Friends will host a banquet with merchandise for sale and auction items, as well as a guest speaker for all members, on Friday evening, March 13, 2026. Historian John Taylor will present a great program on New Mexico Railroads in 1943.
Social Hour (Cash Bar) will start at 5:00pm for cocktails and drinks. The Dinner Buffet will be from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. The menu features your choice of (2) salads, Pecan Crusted Chicken breasts with green chili sauce, or Citrus Grilled Salmon with a raspberry reduction, Green Beans, roasted Baby Red Potatoes or White and Wild Rice Pilaf, along with desserts. The cost per person will be $55 p/p. Please call the Friends office to make your banquet reservations at 505-880-1311. The cutoff for banquet reservations is March 9, 2026.
