Jr. Engineer Program
Hop aboard for an exciting adventure with our Junior Engineer Program! This fun-filled experience for train riders encourages kids aged 5-18 to explore all kinds of cool aspects of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. Learn about the engines that power the trains, discover the history of the tracks, and explore jobs on the railroad. Along the way, you’ll even get to hear the iconic whistle signals and spot important places along the tracks. Get ready for a journey full of fun, learning, and exciting discoveries – all aboard for adventure!
Our guidebook can be viewed below. You can download and print it if you want to get a jump-start on filling it out. You may also get a copy from the docent aboard the train. Docents are Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad volunteers, who are often found in the open-air gondola.
Once you complete the guidebook, bring it to the docent to review and receive your Junior Engineer patch!
